And the buzz chemistry has been perfect. We know we’ve reached the zeitgeist when AOC and Ted Cruz weigh in on twitter. In this case, a sort of celebrity deathmatch:

The unvarnished truth of the matter is that WallStreetBets has incited a mob to artificially jack up a stock price. In this case, this is not Wolf of Wall Street. The narrative isn’t spun by some college dropout in the back room of a pump-and-dump scheme, whispering loudly about some purported hidden jewel of value that is about to tumble out of a cowpie of a company.
This time, the narrative is simple, and holds classic appeal: justice! There’s a rich, fat hedge fund that’s holding GameStop back with a massive short position. Let’s go show them who’s in charge! We all can be heroes! And let’s get rich along the way!
